Having played at various levels, like most we all have various high moments and obviously low.................

Whats the highest and lowest..............level is not really important as we all have our own personal levels and achievements, my high would strangely be winning the York open VETTS tournament, which was the first id entered a couple year ago (the tournament sadly finished and replaced by the Halifax) why was it high not really sure probably the fact john hylton had to be beaten amongst others so stuck in my mind.

The lowest...........jesus its hard when looking at lows there are always so many !

Probably playing in the county premier side and letting the side down when it counted ............still hurts now but hey we all get up and onwards !

biggest low was not beating you when i was 20.18 up in the fifth in the northumberland closed about 15 years ago,was on your serve ,(foul) i put one in the net and one off the end ,bugger bugger, you took the next two points to win it.:taz:

biggest high for a while was THRASHING eddie smith in the northumberland closed 3.0 from 7.1 down in the first end, then lost to mark jackson in the semis best chance of reaching a final in yonks.

One of my biggest lows was when playing doubles with Joey Kennedy in the semi's of the European postal and Telecoms workers championships in Malmo, Sweden. We were sharing a room and had a great week with the BT team. Nicky Mason (a top player at the time)and a mate of joey came and kipped on our floor one night, but thats another story. As most people know Joey is a brilliant doubles player and had carried me through previous rounds. We lost close in the 5th, but it was totally my fault as I could not return one of our opponents serve. I could not even push it back !!!! I was devastated.....So close to a European final......Joey in typical fashion just shrugged it off....

I certainly cannot return those foul serves of yours.....Mr Cheese burger.....Ha Ha. Why not pop along to the club tonight and as they said in "balls of Fury" I will play you best of 5, sudden death !!!!! Death being the key word here. I would certainly die of a heart attack if you actually put in an appearance Ha Ha. Seriously though, its been too long since we have seen you.....

Well what can I say. Fantasy Cheese Basin did indeed turn up last night to challenge the gauntlet thrown down by myself. It was good to see him !!! He defintely had his lucky underpants on.....as he was victorious over 5 close fought games. Perhaps I need to eat more cheese

Beating a top 15 player in the open singles at my first GP comes pretty much up there on my list.

It was about 2001 I think. At the Medway GP. I went out of the group on countback though when a local player dropped out and he was replaced by TS (if he is who I think he is).

:dance3:mmm....I would love to come through and have a knock and a good crack on and of course a canny little pint (on me) just to be sociable!

However, I'm away this weekend at British League, SOL on Tuesday and have a match on Thursday so for health reasons (mine!) I will probably have to give this Wed a miss. However, I'll make an effort to come through when I can.

Look forward to see you all and have a good laugh and pint!:dance3:

i have many highs and lows i dont know where to start, i think 2 of my highest points in my career where at 1) reaching England No1 Junior in my last season as a junior and at 2) was playing doubles in English open with Mark Smith against Schlager & Jindrak they had just returned from europeans where they were crowned champions.
We were 17-12 up in third and serving,it felt like the whole hall had stopped to watch, we were eventually pipped 22-20 in third, what a win that would of been!!!! that also comes in as a low (so close but so far)

my lows are loosing to Meads in counties when i had him in my back pocket.
My biggest low was not being selected to play for England in european juniors when i was No1, they picked Terry Young instead who was No10 as he was younger.
I proved my point in next Junior tournament when i stuffed him 2-0 infront of England selectors.
Another low was not being picked for England to play At Cleveland Junior 3star open when at No2 they picked 1 and 3 (who were from surrey and devon and also played in friendly in dunston) luckily though me and Mark smith played England in team event at same tournament narrowly loosing 3-2 with me winning my 2 and we were just beaten 19 in 3rd of doubles.

biggest high was beating benny in the decider in a cup game at 4-4 the ironic thing was me and benny put our tt kit away to go for a few sherberts as Dave Armstrong was a game and 14 4 up against glen mccardle but lost
Once played in a british rail regional side that beat a side that included Dave Hannah Phil Smith and Becky Our star was Les Eadie

biggest low after winning 3 out of 4 railway events was selected to represent British Rail international team for the first time ( have tried 4 years ) but they changed the dates to when i booked a holiday never got another chance
