It's the holidays and I have been able to have a knock with Fred every day for the last week. I can feel the difference when playing him, see what you think compared to the last vid I put up about 3 weeks ago.

Having seen the vid, I must look at his footwork and try to get him sidestepping more, but as ever any other tips are welcome.

We will probably look at linking in his pushing with his topspin shots next and maybe even looping?

Hi,
Can I suggest that you also invest a little time in the use of his balancing arm - its redundant at the moment and his stroke is compensating for this.

Appreciating its early stages at the moment - he's donig really well !

Interestingly, he does use his free arm better when he doesn't know where the next ball is going. There is only one rally like that though at about 1:15. For the set routines we follow, he doesn't use the other arm much at all. We will certainly have a look at that, thanks for the tip.

Hes doing amazing !

The stroke play is developing and also the looping is probably a good idea to give that extra dynamic feel to his game............. looking good !

JKC;spent some time this weekend with the incomparable Mr.Les D'Arcy and he said that Fred is the best prospect he's seen in a long while.
(and as you know Les has seen a long while)

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Top bloke, Les. Known him quite a few years now since I moved up here 11 years ago. Does incredibly well for his age. Still gives me a good knock if I can put it where he wants it.
