The following video about table tennis is a promotional one with a focus on the Junior British League. Des Douglas, amongst others provides excellent insight into the current and future aspirations of the sport. The sport is a great vehicle for the young to create positive attitude with team spirit.

Table Tennis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Table_tennis) is also a sport for the old with many older players either coming back or playing more than they ever did previously.

Yes many people come back to it after a long gap. I started the game again in 2001 after a 25 year gap.

There is one thing that annoys me is that there are so many bad serves and yet some players get in a rage when you say something.

hi roger

i agree and im of the opinion maybe we should revert back to staight serving

although i am guilty of the serves .........not illegal but using to full rules

the etta were actually going to investigate "straight serving" but went down the 40mm ball first of all.

There are more and more returning to the sport, the biggest growing area is the VETTS in most leagues.
