London 2012 hopeful Jack Pegram beat a host of talented youngsters to take the Rising Star prize at the Nationwide DSE (Disability Sport Events) Awards.
The 16-year-old from Watford, who plays table tennis and wheelchair football, won the award and £6,000.
He won gold medals at the UK School Games, the National Junior Games in Stoke Mandeville and at the DSE National Table Tennis Championships.
He is currently on the sport's talent development squad.
The awards in Manchester saw more than 30 individuals from across the country recognised for their sporting and volunteer achievements with bursaries totalling £22,300.
