European Revenue and Customs

Well its that time again (1 week today) see's the start of the European Revenue and Customs Tourney were the England squad will be defending there team and mixed doubles titles. Hopefully i will play well enough to beat 4 times mens sinlges Champ from Hungary and also take the mens doubles title from the hungarians, which no English pairings have managed to get past the 1/4 finals.
The Missus will keep you all posted on how we are all getting on on this thread and i will also post photo's (i promise DaveR) once i get back (well send to DaveR for him to post)

12th May-19thMay 2009,sees the Annual Polish Folklore Festival take place in Krakow.
One of the many historical stories involves the Trumpeter of Cracow.In the 12th century when Poland was being invaded by the Tartars,a hero came to the rescue of the people of Cracow.He was called Andrzej Wilzceslaw(creepy or what!).He was a watchman on one of the towers of Cracow castle,when he espied the dust cloud of the Tartars approaching.Whipping out his trusty trumpet he sounded the alarm and kept on playing his trumpet until the townsfolk took notice and manned the barricades and repelled the would be invaders.
So every year this heroic yarn is played out in the main square of Krakow.
Watch how you go,when you reach the custom booth just say,'Justem trebacz'and they'll whisk you straight through!
In fact you could even get the job of blowing that famous trumpet of yours all over Poland.Fame at last.
