No, there is no Official Ranking. They seed the Worlds/Europeans by former reputation/world ranking, and by results in previous events.

There was talk bout a Ranking List a few years back but nothing seems to have happened about it.

Am I wrong in thinking that the plan is to standardise the ranking system of all nations from local league through to national tournaments so that every person will know where they are in the world in relation to one another (apparently France has just gone over to our system) - If that is true then in 10 or 15 years time you will know exactly where you are ??

You are correct Jimmy, the system is being looked at with a view to "globalising" it throughout all nations involved so everyone will be sure at what level or ranking position they are currently standing.

Having said that these things take one hell of a long time to thrash out and likely to be dead and burnt before that happens.

Ps its more likely that Andy Trott writes a nice report without insulting someone !! :dance3:

Well having looked at the system i concur the administrative task is one not to be envied !

I actually dont think its possible to have a simple global system as there are to many variations, championships, tournaments and world wide events going on throughout the year or even month for that matter.
