Men Versus Women - Their Strengths & Weaknesses

A long and debated subject in just about every single sport there is available to dare i say it - Mankind, which is who is the better competitors and i say the word competitors as i believe it's not all about the winning or losing unlike many sports men and women.

The strengths and weaknesses of both sexes are there to see, be it a stronger strength in upper body or legs from the men or a stronger mental approach from the women or ladies.

Should all compete together with a total "open" tournament system eliminating any chance of who is better than the other, with the best winning out eventually or would that be unfair?

Tennis has long been debating the financial rewards for the womens singles being equal to that of the mens, my opinon would be that it should be but for reasons that are different to what you may think. Men a phsically stronger that has to be a general observation although yes you will have exceptions as always, but generally men will be stronger phisically. Women however are still playing to their top level also which means equality, so yes i believe it should be equal in rewards.

The million dollar question would be in an equal competition who would come out the winner overall, men or women and who has the most strengths and least weaknesses.

Not just the winning as said but the most and least weaknesses.

I agree and also disagree on this, i believe because their is more male competitors in the tennis tournaments that is why the reward is higher becasue you need to win more matches to be the ultimate winner.

i think that in tabletennis more male international players will beat the female players becasue they have more power and the a good mental game aswell, the women may have a good mental game but cannot compete with the power of the men.

however i still enjoy watching some women matches!!!

I agree, women are mental and perhaps when Anth gets older he will agree, especially if he marries one. I like watching women also, mainly from scandinavian countries (ooops being a little sexist here, sorry)

*coughs* Women are strategists and whether this gives them an edge over power I'm not sure. The other thing is that, as has already been pointed out, there are more men playing the sport than women.

Ok ok the question of Men V Women....................well the easy answer is that women in certain sports can deffinitely compete on the same level if not higher in some areas, unfortunately most ladies, women and girls playing Table Tennis are "comfortable" within their own group or band for want of a better word.

The outcome of a male versus female will vary everytime as the levels are very difficult to compare, my only observation would be that women tend to play a more conservative game at a regional or local level with men being the predominant force but that could be said worldwide...............if someone had the neck to do it !

Ps Women are mentally stronger in most things let alone sport so that part of the issue is answered, mostly by us married men !
