It seems there are two tactical ways of playing – Attacker or Defender

So which one are you and is it your choice or just the stance you have fallen into?

I attack when it is to my advantage to do so. Sometimes I am better dropping off the table a little and looping the ball up more and I very occasionally chop when I am really in trouble. The trick is to know when to switch your tactics and having the confidence to not attack full on from the start of the point.

Please anything but him lol, he ive won my share of points from chopping. i may chop badly but i stay in the rally and people really under estimate my chop. including you kev, i remeber that i have chopped you off before when i really should not have won the point. (my chops can be good or they can end up like a lob thing)

Getting back to the original question.....I have the mind of an attacker but struggle to execute the shots my mind wants me to play. As well as my ageing body not being able to keep up with my mind. So rather than attack and not be consistant I tend to dither somewhere in the middle, neither attacker nor defender !!! Frustrating !! Its much more fun to be able to lash every shot.
