MA LONG BEATS TIMO BOLL IN ITTF CHAMPIONS TOURNAMENT IN CHINA
The end of season ITTF Champions Tournament in China was won by the third seed, Ma Long, who beat Germany's Timo Boll 4-1 in the final. In addition to beating Boll, Ma Long beat the top seed, China's Ma Lin, 4-2. Boll reached the final by defeating China's Wang Hao 4-2 in the quarters and his German team mate Dimitrij Ovtcharov in the semi final in straight games.
The Women's singles was won by Guo Yan, who beat her Chinese team mate Liu Shiwen in the final.
Many matches from the tournament were broadcast on the ITTF television channel ITTV and table tennis fans interested in watching some quality play over Christmas can log onto the ITTF website to see a choice of 10 matches from the tournament. All results are also available on the ITTF website which is www.ittf.com (http://www.ittf.com)

ENGLISH JUNIOR AND CADET NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Butterfly players dominated the English Junior and Cadet National Championships at Sheffield earlier this month with 75% of the singles winners using Butterfly equipment. This was not a tournament that suited the top seeds. Daniel Basterfield from Middlesex and Yolanda King of Sussex won the Junior Singles whilst Jessica Dawson of Cleveland won the Cadet Girls' Singles. The Cadet Boys' Singles was won by Sam Walker of Nottinghamshire.

JANUARY TOURNAMENTS
Two of the main tournaments played in January are sponsored by Tees Sport. The Tees Sport Doncaster Grand Prix takes place on 9th and 10th January, whilst the West of Scotland, the main tournament of the year North of the border, is to be played on 23rd and 24th January. CHRISTMAS COMPETITION
The Tees Sport Christmas competition winner is Nikolas Rahmat.
The question was, "How many National Senior titles has Paul Drinkhall won? (includes Mens, U21s and Doubles events. The answer is 10.
