Hi,
One thing to recognise here is that the Sriver L technology is over 30 years old. Hence, compared with some of the new rubbers on the market, it does not offer anything unique. So, I would rate Sriver L as a general, safe, offensive and expensive rubber.

If you share with us your style, and what you are looking for, perhaps this forum can help offer up some suggestions ?

The softer sponges seem to work in relation to being near to speed glue replacement, such as neos sound etc.

The water based speed glue seems ok, tried it last week and not bad at all, i am going to give it a go over the vetts british league weekend this Saturday and Sunday in Doncaster.

If you are refering to the G2 and sriver L High Tune rubbers, they are the next best thing to speed glue when combined with one layer of speed optimizer. I played in the Premier division of the British League yesterday and there are a number of players already using these rubbers.

i have used the new glue which is vc free, it takes 24 hours before you can even stick the rubber on, however it does last for about a week tho. i found it did make the ball travel faster
