I know a lot of people who train 15-20 hours a week. i am just wondering how often you play?

I either play 2 matches a week or 1 match and one practice night. Sometimes only 1 match. Some weeks I do not play at all. When I was really keen (several years ago) I used to play 2 or 3 matches a week, go to the Newcastle centre of excellence one night and then train at least another twice, depending on commitments. Admittedly I was not married or had a regular girl friend. Although I appreciate to make it to the top in any sport you need to be dedicated and train nearly every day, I think it does you good to have a few days off now and again to aviod getting stale.

Disgraceful talk Jevige.....

I play either 1 or 2 matches a week but never really get the opportunity to practice nowadays - having said that I did have a practice last night - probably the first time in about 6 months!

Keep the faith....I might win a few matches - if I don't it won't be for the want of trying or effort...just talent!!!

Once a week ,but tourney every 2 -3 weks where you ply 6-10 matches then cant walk for a week...

good practice better than poor matchplay...at my age any way.. maybe poor matches and good match play are better for younger up and comers...funnybats, talker offers, con men , blatant cheats... you have to learn ......

'Old' is a very inclusive club....we will all get there some day!

The key thing is to do you best, practice when you can (which for me is very little) and hopefully win your matches - both personally and for the team.

And remember above all to respect your oponent...especially the older generation who will have loads of experience, high levels of tactical awareness and cunning to beat you when you think you just need to turn up and play.

As for Harry's legs...well....where do I start...they've been like that for 20 years - should have stuck to football....(only kidding maaaaaatey!)
