The final weekend of the Bribar Junior British League for 2007/8 was completed today at the Aldersley Stadium in Wolverhampton.
Draycott & Long Eaton claimed the Junior Girls Premier Championship by 4 points from DHS London Progress after the two teams fought out a draw in the final round of matches. Michelle Qvach was the star for DHS London Progress beating both Emma Vickers and Caroline Hallows while Hannah Hicks added the third beating Corrina Whittaker.
Harvey Youngstars as reported earlier were Junior Boys Premier Champions. Their final margin was limited to 7 points due to a draw with Kingfisher A in the first round of matches today where Harvey Youngstars had to play with only 2 players.
The Junior Boys Division 1 Title margin was at the other extreme. DHS London Progress B grabbed the title with a 47 13 game count ahead of a 44 16 game count from runners up Waterside after both sides finished on 17 points. In Junior Girls Division 1 the Irish eyes were smiling as Ballina claimed the Title by 5 points ahead of the second placed Waterside A.
Junior Boys 2A saw another dominant display, Bridge the George did not drop a point in either weekend winning the Title by 8 clear points from runners up Cippenham. Junior Boys 2B was a little tighter Barnet were clear title winners by 5 points from North Gwent in second. North Gwent came second ahead of DML Woolwell (31 29) by virtue of a 34 26 game tally. In Junior Girls 2 Team Peniel A took a hard fought title ahead of BATTS Raquetsports by just 2 points.
In the Junior Girls Division 3 it was Uxbridge who claimed the title with a 4 point advantage over Team Peniel B. Junior Boys 3A was won by Horsham by 3 points over Knighton Park while Junior Boys 3B saw a second title go to the Barnet club as Barnet 2 took this division by 3 points from Aquaserve Club Mid Cheshire.
Junior Boys 4A saw a further Irish triumph as Ballincollig Batters took the title by 5 points ahead of runners up Bedford Modern. In Junior Boys 4B it was the TTK Greenhouse team out of West London Academy who triumphed by 2 points from runners up Colchester.
