ok it wasnt hard to figure out but my predictions were more or less correct ,made easier by the fact that several other top players couldnt attend the tournament,it would be appreciated if the results i have missed out ie graded singles finalists,womans finalists etc could be posted,

Anyway the mens singles final, godbold v wilkinson was a hard fought and entertaining final,wilkinson as usual set his stall out from the very start,powerfull and well executed shots again being the order of the day,combined with a tite service game,took him into a flying start.
Godbolds fighting spirit,talent and a slight change in tactics got him back into the game,but today wilkinson was too strong and went on to win an excellent final,congratulations to both players.:rocker:

well good evening all and thanx for your confidence in me retaining my title as northumberland open singles champion (now known as the Alan Morpeth memorial cup). Godbold was a tricky oponent and would rather of played against smith in final as he is not as clever in a game but i got of to a good start putting baldrick (Goddy) under pressure from the start going 2-0 up but baldrick kept fighting and after some good coaching from Mr Thorpe took the 3rd 11-5 and was looking strong in the 4th taking a 4-1 start but after some close rallies and only a couple of nets i scraped through 11-9 to remain undesputed heavy wait champion of the WORLD !!!!!
