Un-solicited PM's

I am currently monitoring spam PM's (pure advertising and un wanted PM's) because of the general increase on the web in relation to advertising within sites of this nature............this only means normal members have nothing to worry about, this is only a protective measure to make sure your PM's are exactly what they should be "yours and yours alone with only recipients you wish to give to / from being included" so any member recieving a PM which is of an advertising nature or not relevant in any way to issues or topics concerned, or you feel should be reported then do so to myself ASAP............ and i will take the appropriate steps to make sure this is stopped.

I have monitiored the actions of a certain member by the name of Patricia........which is where the un solicitored PM's were coming from and carried out the following action........

Username ......Patricia
Action..........Deleted and Banned ip address.

I have to say its all fun, however the problem is sometimes the user concerned try to "hack" the site with what is called html code and tags so please let me know whenever there is anything suspicious....................and i dont mean just Dave Godbold by a pint.:fcb:

Sites that are popular always have a constant stream of spammers but members can help if vigilant, nice work.

Too true, Dave. Even my little backwater of a site has a Chinese spammer putting adverts in the gallery comments page. I get e-mail notification and take it off again. it's not even a robot doing it, it's a real live muppet.:taz:
