Table Tennis and Yellow Cards

Have you ever had a yellow card for some sort of behaviour problem on the table in a match, i ask this as i was "awarded" the yellow card at a British League game for simply throwing my racket high in the air, and no i did not drop it but was given the sign off the ref for doing so !

Whats the reason you have been carded or have you just been so clean you havn't had one, which i suppose is the correct way.

yes i have been given a few in my time!!! one for spitting on floor to stop me slipping??? and one for not tucking my shirt into my shorts at the european revenue & customs tournament in Poland????

but the best i have ever seen was when playing european league in spain for darlington with eddy smith,john hilton & ritchie venner hilton was knocking up and had decided the ball they were using was not round, ref would not let him change as he had choose that as first choice ball after a heated discussion with the spanish ref (broken english) hilton stood on the ball so they had to change it and he got a yellow card(Still in knock up)

the next day when we were walking to the centre for our second game we passed a newsagent and on the front page of the spaniash paper was a picture of hilton being yellow carded so we had to buy it !!!!!!!!! just so we could prove to people back at home what had happened????? lol

who says our umpires are strict????

I've never been yellow carded but I do know a couple of people who have - a certain Mr. Robson and Mr. Gelder!!! Racquet abuse and swearing!!! :covereyes:

Well i got one a few weeks ago in the vetts british league for nothing really............kicked the barrier..............6 foot...................and telling the umpire he was a baldy erm **** but the red mist did seem to make me feel strange that day, i did apolagise afterwards !:yellowcard:

No you didn't I was there - it was just a little kick - there was a lot worse than you doing a lot more than you and not getting any yellow cards.

Having said that I would have yellow carded you just for your dodgy shorts!!!
