The ITTF is seeking the services of a “Competition Director”. The Director of the Competition Department will be responsible for all the ITTF competitions and will work in close cooperation with the ITTF Technical Committee, the IT Manager, other ITTF Departments and Committees as well as TMS International.

General Responsibilities:

- Deliver high quality international tournaments that achieve the ITTF objectives of enhancing the sport’s image in the eyes of existing and potential sponsors, the media, TV and the public and enhancing the level of technical organization.
- Establish directives and negotiating agreements between the ITTF and the organizing Committees for the conduct of each event.
- Responsible for the implementation of all contractual requirements between the ITTF and each Organizing Committee.
- Coordinates the team of ITTF Competition Managers.
- Represents the ITTF vis-a-vis the Organizing Committees of ITTF competitions.
- Assists each Organizing Committee, through the Competition Managers or directly, to establish a strategic plan for each tournament and ensuring that the objectives of the plan, especially the ITTF objectives, are achieved.
- Ensures that proper information is provided to the National Association (prospectus), entries, and visa procedures in order that it is correctly applied and ensures that all these processes are according to the ITTF standards.
- Ensures that all contractual requirements between the ITTF/TMS and its commercial partners (sponsors, TV, media) are satisfied.
- Ensures that the the needs/requirements of all TMS commercial partners, ITTF officers and host NA stakeholders are properly implemented.
- Ensures that evaluations/reports are done at the conclusion of each tournament.

Qualifications:
Experience of at least 5 years in organization of international table tennis events.
Command of the English language, written and spoken.

Location:
As may be decided by the ITTF. The position requires regular international travel.
