The best competative match i witnessed was the Swathling cup 1989 Dortmund Sweden 5 China 0 though it was a whitewash the games were fantastic and the only blot on the landscape was the walk off of the chinese no1 who was foul serving Actually Sweden was well supported by bunch of geordies/mackems inflatables and yellow and blue everywhere
Plus those germans sure no how to put on a tournament and it was far superior to anything i witnessed in this country

the best matches i witnessed involving local players was a 19 year old skin head losing in the 18 in the decider to Chester yeah that was Benny at his best also i was in Belfast when the tin man had slevin on the ropes a game and 18-16 up and the prize money was £200 it cost me as i had to pay 4 his drinks all weekend

The worst game was 1997 world vetts final Orlowski v Dvorcek it was staged and a lot of spectators walked out

As competitions go, Europeans 1992 in Stuttgart will take some beating with 8,000 germans all willing Rosskopf on to be European Champion.

Also seeing Applegren drunk as a skunk after I think Chen took him out.

Also Eindhoven for the World Indiviudals where a Bald Harry Hill looking character with face painted holding a green alien asked Liu Guoliang for his autograph, Never seen Liu run away so fast.
