i have played in many teams with a lot of "nutters" over the years,so who are the worst team players and why,or if you like the best and why..:thumbsup:.
i think on a national level thierry cabrerra must have been a nightmare to be on the same side as:bag:..
who always turns up late,always when everything is set up,who never pays their fees on time.who never pays their fees,
who doesnt even turn up...etc etc..:taz:

I can remember playing in a National leaugue game with Peter Whiteman for Byker and had to hide under my towel for the whole match as I just could not stop laughing. The slighest thing often set him off, opponents just could not believe their eye's. He did have an excuse as he actually did have a medical mental health problem.

i remember my dad playing whiteman in a tournament up in Consett half way through the game after whitemen had toweled down about 50 times stopped the game about 20 times and caught the ball from my dads serve about 10 times, my dad put his bat doen and chesed whiteman round the table with mark christie steve penman and neil macmaster shouting from balcony, "RUN PETER RUN" ha ha

next the guys who don't pay their league fees or club fees on match nite the same people also say they r skint but r seen in a pub or takeaway after the match
I know several people who would fit the bill

several years ago travelled to Barnet to play county vetts Our no 1 travelled down on his own beat their no 2 who had a high ranking .because he was selected 4 the mixed he didn't try and lost his next singles by hitting the ball all over the place cost the team the match didn't have any after match refeshments (good bar at barnet)

Mind u apart from the 10 players who fit into the scenarios above most table tennis players are sound Robstar

remember playing a match at grove and there was a big crowd as there Ateam was playing on the next table peter w was playing jill harris and was getting beat we were encouraging p to try and win and he shouted at the top of his voice can;t believe i am losing to a woman she is rubbish rob dodds beat her
in the same match peter and mark were chasing each other round the table as p had got upset by sum youg kid eating crisps suddenly the crowd were watching our match
on another occassion mark confronted peter in an agressive manner and peter began singing COWARD OF THE COUNTY happy days

I don;t play at home because of the noise that was my fisrt game at home this season every away team last year complained of the noise coming from the A team game mind dale mark and sometimes harry are very well behaved I also know that in at least 2 away games it has kicked off and 2 of our players should have had RED CARDS

Cramlington can be quite bad at times with 3 matches being played on one half of the hall and 5 practice tables in the other half. Its not just Birtley that is noisy. I know that you are a player with vast experience of playing in tournaments around the world. I would have thought that distractions from other players would be like water off a ducks back to you.
