Due to errors on the Wolverhampton Butterfly Grand Prix entry form, it was removed from the ETTA (http://www.englishtabletennis.org.uk/) website to be corrected. In light of the short timescale left for players to enter, the entry closing date has been extended to 28th April 2008.
So now you still have the opportunity to enter why not download an entry form HERE (http://www.sportfocus.com/reguser/dynabizinfo/download.cfm?number=13537)

Have you all seen the groups?
This Grand Prix has the strongest and best line-up of players in years.
I think I'll go on Sunday to spectate.

It because men have to play about twice as many matches to win it

If by any chance women would be in bigger numbers would the men accept less?

Now there's a question!
Obviously we probably wouldn't even notice any sexism, we would be too busy eyeing up all that extra totty on show.

I would of thought that as the prize money comes out of the entry fee it is only fair that the money goes into the prize fund the player is playing in, so if there were more female players money would go up. Agree with Harry entirely though.

Great point Roger, with the womens numbers getting less and less how can they expect same rewards ?
Not a jibe at the ladies but a fair comment would you not say.

Just a reminder for some members you can use the "quote" button in anyone's post to automatically quote their individual post(as Tinykin did above) just to make relevance. I use other types of forums so just mentioning this to help everyone !

as your all quoting me,for what its worth womens champ and mens champ get the same money at the french open....
what a joke!!!!!!!
the top players in the womens win their first round matches 6-1 6-0 love in 26 minutes etc
the men have to play best of 5 with any match going over 1 hour at least,....
Hey... 700,000 pound for the winners, the women are paid at 350,000 per hour for a 2 hour match, the men always goes longer so in effect the women are paid more...
But if the women played best of five,,, no problem with equal prize money,,:static:
