harrybelafonte told me of the guys who put on the table tennis exhibition on the telly in the 70,s really fun show, i think one was jacque secretin but the other i forget,would love to see that again.

Thorpey - there used to be a programme on the telly called 'Jim'll Fix It' - well....when I was about the 12 or 13 (maybe less?) I wrote in to see if he could fix it to play in the exhibition match with Secretin.

In those days and especially at my age we had never seen anything like it!!!

Unfortunately, I didn't get a reply but I do remember the exhibition matches that they used to do - and Guy...its great to be reminded of the video - even if it shows my age - over 32 years ago!!!

I can top that, I was born in 1983. I swear Jim'll Fix It was still about when I was a kid though.

jacques secretin and vincent purkart formed their show in the 70's i was party to using the show at a few events i.e. tournaments at the time, i think the cost was a couple of grand. it was a great show and you can still see it on dvd by logging on to www.pingpongers.com (http://www.pingpongers.com) and buying the dvd or go on to youtube and type in secretin and you can see highlights of the show there

:dance3:I saw it in the 70s and it was so much fun. I read Jacques' autobiography in which he says that book and he and his mate went round the world 7 times to present the show... It was really great... I am sure it can be purchased... google it you never know...
