The Boys Singles final saw our two 2012 Olympic hopefuls battle it out once again.
Just as it was in the National Under 21 Championships a few weeks ago Darius always had the upper hand winning in 4 close sets,
Chris Doran who lost to Paul in one semi final and Gavin Evans who lost to Darius in the other collected the bronzes.

The Girls Singles final saw another tremendous 4 set tussle as top seed Emma Vickers just managed to hold off a tenacious performance from Karina LeFevre to take the Gold.
In the semi finals Emma just slipped by Caroline Hallows in 5 sets and Karina put in a great performance to oust No 2 seed Sarra Wang in another 5 set encounter. Sarra and Caroline earned the Bronzes for their efforts.

The Boys doubles was as expected, a Paul and Darius win but wow, did they have to fight for it.
Matt Ware and Chris Doran having overcome the No 2 seeds Myles and Gavin Evans in the semi finals produced some superb power table tennis and looked strong in the final as 2 sets to one up but the experience of the top seeds prevailed in 5 sets.
Paul and Darius ousted Liam Pitchford and Daniel Lowe in the other semi final.
Bronze therefore for the Evans brothers and Liam and Daniel.

In the counterpart Girls Doubles the top seeds again prevailed but by a whisker, A 13-11 victory in the fifth set was all that separated Gold Medallists Emma Vickers and Caroline Hallows from Silver Medallists Emily Bates and Mary Fuller.
Rachael Anslow and Hannah Hicks and Rachel Farquhar and Yolanda King took the Bronze Medals.
The Mixed Doubles was where the seeds didn’t get a look in, No 2 seeds Gavin Evans and Emily Bates were ousted in the quarter finals by Chris Doran and Haylee Potts. The semi finals saw the downfall of the No 1 seeds Paul Drinkhall and Emma Vickers as they lost a tight 5 set battle with Liam Pitchford and Martha Travis. In the other Semi Final Matt Ware and Karina Lefevre ousted Chris Doran and Haylee Potts and went on in the final to dominate Liam and Martha and take the Gold Medal.
