I have just received my latest newsletter and would like to raise 2 points

I donot think it is the right place 4 Mr Meisel to voice his opinion over issues with Alex and letters should be shared about he already has one printed on another page

also on page 2 rubbers are advertised which cannot b used in tournaments next year I know the vetts get support fron various traders but they should b protecting members some thing should b included in the advert or elsewhere informing members about these rubbers Steve Hall has highlighted the dates when his old rubbers r ok in tournaments

Don't be silly this is the VETS you are talking about. How can you send tablets of stone in PDF format. Have you been on the VETS web site.

http://www.vetts.org.uk/

See what I mean. Its like something out of the dark ages. Cannot even see the newsletter unless you are a member. Its like being in the Masons.

As for Robstar sending you the pages, he's lucky if he can remember how to switch his computer on. Thats if he can remember where it is. lol:rocker:

windy i heard that you wanted 2 b league secretary the cards would get lost the postman only visits the outback once a week and u would have 2 get your abacus out
i understand that they wanted u to b summer league sec as well go 4 it man u will do a good job but i think we need to tighten up on postponed games and teams not turning up Clubs such as Dunston have to pay 4 the hall if they don't give a weeks notice yet teams ring up the nite before or fail to turn up i think there is a rule covering this but do the home team receive any compensation

Rob, I did express an interest in the League Sec position but did not give a firm commitment. I am not keen on doing this over the summer and left my options open with Aubrey. I will be OK with the mathematics involved as long as I take my socks and shoes off as well as using my fingers to count and the new carrier pigeon system of mail works quite well up our way.
As for the re arrangement of matches and teams not turning up, you are correct that there are rules governing these issues (Regulations 9.1, 10.1 & 10.2) on the NTTA web site at :- http://www.northumberlandtabletennis.org/regulations.htm#ScheduleD

The compensation issue would be more difficult to address. I know if a team were to cancel at short notice against us we would still turn up and practice as this is sometimes the only night of the week we would play.:crazier:

PS....you obviously remembered how to swith on your PC in the abscence of Wilko....
