Emily Bates of Lincolnshire added a second National Singles Title to her 2007/8 collection in a typically dominant performance at the University Centre here in Norwich. In the Boys there was a less expected result as No 3 seed Lewis Gray of Kent grabbed his third National Championships win.

Lewis Gray of Kent produced a set of superb performances on his way to the Under 14 Boys Singles Championships. In the final the No 3 seed dominated winning in 3 straight sets over Reece Tan from Essex. The key match in his trip to the Championship was his semi final defeat of Number 1 seed Ping Ho of Middlesex.
No 2 seed Zak Zilesnick had an injured hand and was not at his best but it was still a superb performance from Jared Patel of Essex to knock Zak out, from 2 sets to love down Jared turned the 1st round match round to win 11-6 in the fifth set

In the Under 14 Girls Emily Bates was dominant dropping only a single set on her way to the Title. In the final she faced No 2 seed Lucy Davidson and controlled the final all the way winning in 3 straight sets.
If Tin Tin Ho of Middlesex had dreams of winning an Under 14 title at the age of 10 then that dream was shattered in the 1st knockout round when Evangeline Collier of Essex took a excellent victory over the No 3 seed
