I had a look at the FTT (Free Table Tennis Site) as a few mentioned and it is worth a little look although it is more of a "negative" more than constructive perspective view, which i think is needed but not always so negative to the point of heavy jibes plus not much in the way of positives.

If anyone hasnt seen it or been on it have a look the address is ... HERE (http://www.tabletennisuk.info/FreeTableTennis/FreeTableTennis.php)

I had a look earlier last week and it is as you say somewat negative but yes wrthy of a look aslong as you take the tounge in cheek view at times.

I prefer constructive rather than total negatives, which is easy when you dont run the ETTA yourself.

I have browsed the site and it's not a bad read with some negatives but the negatives have to be brought to light if progress is to be made in anything. The ETTA sometimes need a kick up the jacksy just to make them aware of the feeling in and outside the Counties.

Hi Mosse i agree with your comments- the trouble is administration of sport is now a business i feel the ETTA needs to take a close look at what other federations in Euope have done in terms of stucture how they attract sponsors and more importantly on how communicate to their customers ie players. i'm very lucky , as part of my job to have dealings with federations across diffrent sports. it seems the ETTA are a long way behind

Administration is a nessecary evil as the sport like all sports needs it, however we must never lose sight of the "playing" being the most important for most with Admin in any form following in sequence therefoe ensuring success within the sport or any sport.

The ETTA have like a lot of sports turned administration into a business with unfortunately playing following a slightly lagging second or third spot. That said its not the easiest job to promote a sport such as Table Tennis without media interest.
The ETTA have tried to rectify this of late and long may it continue with fruitful results but the time factor is slightly behind schedule in my humble opinion.
