I thought it might be useful to start a thread and get opinions on what are the best rubbers/blades from a particular brand.

It would be great to get as many opinions as possible about which you think are notable/special products from the particular brand, and a brief reason why. It's not about finding out which is THE most popular, but about finding a range of rubbers/blades from that manufacturer which are good and stand out a little.

This can be useful and interesting for anyone to find out a little about a brand, and can be particularly helpful to those that only have access to one or two brands, or have a personal preference to a particular brand.

I will also run it at the other major forums, and after a week or two I'll compile the list and summarise the comments. Then we can start on the next brand.

Note: Any background information on the manufacturer would be useful too.

Brand of this thread: Yasaka

[Brands covered already: Butterfly, Joola]

Cheers!

Well my Blade and equipment is as follows:

Blade: Micheal Maze
Forehand Rubber: Mark V 2mm
Backhand Rubber: Sriver FX 2mm

Planning to change to maybe Bryce Speed whn Glue is stopped but not sure yet (some advice)

Shoes and general equipment tend to use Butterfly as the brand is high quality plus the range is nice although sometime pricey but there again most brands are in this day and age.

Yes the Mark V series, especially the original and the 30deg glued would be the most popular by far, and probably among the most popular in the world! The X-tend and V-stage seem to have a small following but not great. The new Pryde might take off, especially with the glue ban coming into effect shortly.

Yasaka never seem to be that big on blades, although the Ma Lin Carbon certainly seems among the more popular... Perhaps it's an availabilty thing again as well... The Gatien extra 3D seems the other popular blade.
