If you are travelling to Liverpool next weekend for the first Butterfly Grand Prix of the season please note that the normal route from the M62 is blocked due to road works.

Arthur Garnett, the local organiser, has given us this alternative route:

From end of M62 turn left following "Ring Road South"
Straight ahead at traffic lights.
At roundabout take3rd exit signed "Ring Road South"
Straight ahead at traffic lights.
Go into outside land and
At roundabout follow "City" marked in lane on road surface.
This takes you through to a set off traffic lights...turn right still following "City"
STAY IN RIGHT HAND LANE
At 5th (Fifth) set of traffic lights turn right into Gainsborough Road.
Go straight ahead, under railway bridge and then immediately right into the Sports Centre.
The Tennis centre is to the right.

It would be a much more useful piece of information to tell people to do a U-Turn at the end of the M62 and leave the city altogether. There is something about the Liverpool GP which means I always play crap. White walls, orange balls, no practice over the summer, kids that do nothing but practice all summer etc. I stopped going a couple of years ago as I never seemed to pick up any points there.
