The UK School Games has come to Bristol and Bath for 2008 and promises to be one of the best multi sport events for young people the country has ever seen. Over 1500 athletes will take part in 9 sports, with an anticipated 10,000 plus spectators watching the event over the four days. Helping to run the event are over 900 volunteers and officials.

The Table Tennis event will take place in the excellent facilities provided at Bath University Sports Training Village, with 12 courts in use throughout the competition.

Table Tennis has five England regional teams competing against teams from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. There are also players competing in wheelchair, standing and for the first time learning disability events.

A total of 82 players will take part in both the team and individual competitions over the three days. To see a full list of the players selected click here (pdf) (http://www.ukschoolgames.com/UK_School_Games_2008_Table_Tennis_-_Squad_lists.pdf).

For the first time there is an opportunity for parents to attend the opening ceremony. Tickets are available to parents from Fri 8th August and the general public from Wed 13th August. Tickets are just £5 and available from www.theticketfactory.co.uk (http://www.theticketfactory.co.uk/)
Parents should contact their team manager for the website validation code up to the 13th Aug.
