After awarding the Regional Club of the Year Awards, the English Table Tennis Association can now reveal the National Winners for 2007/08 Club of the Year Awards!
PremierClub Mark Level
WINNER – BATTS (HARLOW, ESSEX)
RUNNER-UP – CRAWLEY COMMUNITY TTC (CRAWLEY,WEST SUSSEX)
Participation Level
WINNER – WOOLWELL TTC (PLYMOUTH, DEVON)
RUNNER-UP – ST. NEOTS TTC (ST. NEOTS, CAMBRIDGESHIRE)
Advanced Level
WINNER – FASTBATS TTC (BRADFORD, WEST YORKSHIRE)
RUNNER-UP – BLACKPOOL TTC (BLACKPOOL, LANCASHIRE)
Excellence
WINNER – ORMESBY TTC (MIDDLESBROUGH, CLEVELAND)
RUNNER-UP – LONDON PROGRESS TTC (SOUTHALL, MIDDLESEX)
THIRD PLACE – HALTON TTC (WIDNES, CHESHIRE)
The English Table Tennis Association would like to congratulate all the above Premier Clubs on their successes in the Club of the Year Awards. A particular congratulation goes to all the winners in each category.
To achieve their success each club has had to demonstrate a growth in their membership, increase the numbers of dedicated volunteers, encourage more players to play in their league teams, establish an improved club playing programme and shown themselves to be actively developing in all areas.
All the clubs will be invited to attend the ETTA’s Annual Awards Dinner which will be held during the National Coaching Conference where the awards will be presented. The conference is at the National Sports Centre, Lilleshall on 1st November 2008.
