(Moved to the most appropriate forum.)
I didn't see the match, but I think it's a reasonably safe bet he will be thrashed in the final.
As a Nadal fan, I have to say I was surprised he beat Djokovic this afternoon, what with it being on hard court.. but very pleased he did. I can't see him losing the Gold now.

the shot from blake just clipped gonzales racket then went long, still should have been blakes point, the umpire did not see it and gave point to gonzales who said nothing, blake went mental, gonzales said nothing...
he might get the silver, but will always be cheat in my book.he must have felt the ball clip his racket..as you could clearly see it,
I suppose nowadays you play to the umpire.:resent:

Big difference watching Timo Boll point out the ball clipping the dge of the table when he played the Japanese guy.

Tennis players - all but one of the tennis players i saw did not totally have the olympic spirit. The only person i saw that had to play in the Countries kit was Andy Murray playing in adidas, federer had nike with a poxy swiss badge, same with nadal. In the Doubles final of the mens they all played in different shirts - Rubbish, for 7 days they should drop there ego and where the countries kit, once every four years.

Tennis should not be an olympic sport imo. It is far too professional.
For a track and field athlete, a rower, sailer, cyclist etc winning an Olympic gold means everything. It means more than being a European champion or more than being a world champion.
Ask a tennis player and they are likely to want to win one of the grand slams as much or more.
I guess there are other sports where it is true to an extent, basketball maybe one. But for tennis I am just not sure the desire is really there.

I think tennis (and I am a tennis fan), basketball and football should all be taken out of the Olympics schedule. I would like to see squash in there instead.
On the subject of prospective sports, what a great addition the 10k swim and BMX's were - brilliant idea!

nothing like Persson-V-Samsonov then? when at 9-8 up a massive point where Samsonov thought ball clipped edge where Persson thought it was side, after big discussion Samsonov (who had been given point) took point off his side of score board only for umpire to replace point for Samsonov who after more discussion asked for referee and video replay to decide outcome!!!!!!!!
Two pure honest sportsmen!!!!! unlike swedish wrestler who was not happy with a bronze medal and walked off podium throwing medal to floor, he did not deserve it and should of been given to forth place!!!
