Hello,

Just to let you all know that www.tabletenniscoach.com (http://www.tabletenniscoach.com) has been relaunched with kind sponsorship from Northumberland Table Tennis Association (http://www.northumberlandtabletennis.org).

It is a site we have created with videos showing good technique. ETTA coach Bernie Morris talks you through beginner and more advanced strokes with demonstrations from Anthony and Graeme Barella, and David Graham.

Please pay it a visit and let me know your thoughts. If there is anything else you think would be useful to add, let me know.

All the best,
Graeme

Just been in and had a look around. Looks great Boxwell and I’m sure it will be very well received. Thanks for the mention also.

It's a good informative site. Videos show both normal and slow-mo. My techniques should improve if I put what I've seen into practice!

By the way I only watched the videos up to the smash part. The advanced push and practise drills just won't load. Does anyone else have this problem?

Oh and it would be a lot better if the videos are bigger so people like me won't have to move our eyes so close to the monitor. Haha!

Thanks for telling us about the site!

With the advanced push and practise drills, you also have to select which of the pushes / drills you want from their relevant page. If you look just above the video box you'll see some links.

Excellent tutorial with some pretty good videos to boot. The site would look nice in its own page on the Table Tennis Talk Forum, with it embeded into a page. The site could then have a section whereby members could relate or upload there own videos to the Forum meaning double information, although Dave would have to be asked if possible and permission i suppose but the idea is worthwhile given that anyone and everyone can benefit from such material.

Just a thought?

Good idea but "websites" are different to Forums such as this one with no interactive content unless added by a webmaster. The joined page is a great thought with as you say members having their say on certain videos that are currently uploaded or viewed, which is where Forums score over sites.

The site is good; however, from an IT perspective, if I were doing it I would keep the Flash usage to a minimum - just the videos (possibly with alternative links to MPEG files as well).

Well the site can have its "embeded" page so yes it can be done from that perspective but as Chris rightly states the Flash is best kept to minimum ........... also flash is a nice back door for hackers to slip through in my experience (not that im hacking) i will look into the coding later today as to how much space it will use and bandwidth, the site looks pretty good.

Is there any new video footage with new and different players alongside and other places in the Country with the something smilar ?

I would certainly be happy to add some more sections and some more videos. Can anyone suggest any other techniques / drills etc that we should film and add?

I might consider creating an HMTL / CSS version of the site but I am pretty busy with www.boxwellwebdesign.com at the minute so it will have to go on the back burner. I'm also the administrator for the Northumberland Table Tennis Site so with the new season starting there will be a lot of work to be done shortly.

Hi Boxwell,

I've had a look and it's really good.
