This truly is wonderful Crispione! Hey, I'm not in the neighborhood so you won't be seeing me at any events anytime soon... but to bear witness to the (re?)birth of the Hardbat Classic Game in the BIRTHPLACE of Table Tennis itself is to me a wonderful thing to behold.

I know Scott Gordon has checked in and I sure as hell hope Marty Reisman's lurking here as they are pretty much the "Elder" Statesmen of the game.

I daresay as well... that between our man in France, Francis... and The Scoop... you probably have enough classic hardbats in those two collections alone to equip everyone in HEATT so far and then some. Actually... too many of those bats should never strike a ball again but it's just an intersting point.

BTW... don't know what considerations you've made pursuant to THE BALL... but there are many here in the US that have fairly good size caches of 38mm units. In fact, you can still procure them over-the-counter in many stores here. I know it's been proposed at the next "National" event here to use them.

Not that you've don't have enough to deal with at the moment... but just a thought.

Thanks very much Larry. Yes, these are exciting times.

I'd read on the US site that they use 38mm balls in some tournaments and it's among the long list of discussions about equipment that we will have to have.
