    Default Spot The Mug!

Well it seems so much fun was had with the recent Mug Competition I have had an idea.

Now I can't be at every event (although I will very much try to be around more often), if anyone would like the opportunity to win a Mug at any particular tournament let me know in this Thread.

I will then select a suitable 'Mule' to carry The Mug. It will be up to 3T's members to find the Mug. Once you think you know who the 'Mule' is, identify yourself by walking up to them and asking 'are you The Mule'!

An element of risk I realise but excellent fun don't you think?

Friendships will either be forged or wide births given!

I thought mine was the only mug! Have found a use for my mug. I was told by Abdul to practice spinning the ball into a bucket, felt a little stupid carrying a bucket arround with me, so I am now using the mug. Hit the mug 10 times last night, so now ready for my next task. I was serious about donating a trophy on another thread, and engraving each winners name on it.

    Hi Barry,

how does the spinning the ball in to the bucket exercise work? Where do you put the bucket? what spin do you use?

My coach just tells me to do something, so I do it. The mug was just about a foot from the net in the middle of the table, you need to have such a good touch. to hit the target. I think it is because I tend to play very stiff, he has asked me to do this. To hit the target you have to be very relaxed. Just had a text from my coach saying, I have to think relax. My next task is to spin one to the mug, then the next half long.

Sorry TC and your Dad. The spin is "Topspin against a chopped ball."

Cheers Barry, that's interesting. I guess its a bit like Johnnie Wilkinson aiming for the coke can in someone's hand when taking his kicks. Do you find you think about the mug in a match?
